In the beginning, there is a 'downshift', as one breathes naturally, deeply, and rolls into each movement. At the same time, there is a constant stimulation of energy, building.

After about 30 seconds, the body has responded to the movements, and become more loose, balanced, invigorated, and warm at the core.
Most people know about the 'fight or flight response', but what appears to be occuring here is more akin to a type of 'relaxation response'.
